It has been a very fine year for Creating and Exhibiting!

Coming A Telling Series was juried into the acclaimed textile exhibit, Stories of Migration: Contemporary Artists Interpret Diaspora at The George Washington University Textile Museum in Washington, DC April 15 – September 4. It was sold as a result of this outing.

Coming A Telling Series was published in Quilting Arts Magazine June/July 2016 issue.

Earth Song 1 Medicine Wheel Series was selected to be part of ‘edge 6.0’, a juried fiber art exhibit, at Sunderland Gallery Cathedral Cultural Center in Omaha, NE April 24 – June 5.

Earth Song 3 and Earth Song 5 Medicine Wheel Series were juried into the international art quilt exhibit, ‘Protect The Earth’s Environment’, at the National Tainan Living Arts Center in Tainan City, Taiwan April 30 – May 29; curator reported an attendance of over 12,000.

Unity 6 Medicine Wheel Series completed its 2 year international tour with exhibits at various venues in Europe from Feb 1-Dec 31, 2016.

Unity 7 Medicine Wheel Series published in Art Quilt Portfolio 23 [www.saqa.com].

Unity 10 Medicine Wheel Series was juried into Images Art Gallery Juried Show, a fine art exhibit in Overland Park, Ks April 15 – May 13.

From The Outside In 6 and From The Outside In 7 A Seeing Way were created as a testament to interdependence, the strength of the individual spirit, and the light of Italy.

The great adventure of making marks on sticks continued and the passion for and presence of hand painting and printing grew.
