YEAR END MEMO 2025

It was a fine year with completed work and special exhibit opportunities:

From The Outside In 9 A Seeing Way Series, juried into In or Out: Perspectives in Fiber, ended its 2-year travels at Lenexa City Center Art Gallery before returning to the studio.

Grace 2 A Telling Series, accepted into a regional traveling fiber exhibit ‘living-language-land’ Inspired, was displayed at Haskell Indian Nations University, as well as in venues in OK, MO, and other KS cities. It is scheduled to travel for 1-2 more years.
The UK environmental scientist and the South African sculptor who originated living-language-land as a verbal presentation for a climate conference are interested in bringing this textile-interpretation overseas.

Grace 2 A Telling Series was honored as the Haskell art director’s favored piece and published in the Haskell University newspaper.

Grace 4 A Telling Series was accepted into and sold at an international online quilt-art auction.

Hope Celebration of Life Series, juried into the Art in Hospitals traveling exhibit Colors of Hope, ended its 2-year journey at University of Chicago Medicine main campus.

Unity 2 Medicine Wheel series was accepted into the Art in Hospitals Global Harmony exhibit. It will travel for one year, beginning in Chicago.

Unity 7 Medicine Wheel series was juried into the Sacred Threads 2025 exhibit in Indianapolis, IN.

Unity 16 Medicine Wheel Series was juried into the Images Annual Fine Arts Exhibit at Images Gallery, Overland Park, KS.

Unity 18 Medicine Wheel Series completed its 3-year travels with an international textile exhibit.

Grace 3 A Telling Series bore witness to the power and dignity of a worn elder body; burdened but not broken.

Grace 4 A Telling Series was made bearing witness to backs bowed but unbroken.
